Our highlight from this year's Semana Santa was stumbled upon by pure chance when simply trying to escape the weather.
When the heavens opened, the entire street filed into a large courtyard where the walls were lined with stalls selling fresh coffee, sweets and aguardiente. However, everyone's attention was directed to the centre where, thanks a to break in the downpour, a group of young performers began to dance.
Today was a day to celebrate Colombia's indigenous roots and we had arrived right on time to to experience Africa's influence through song and dance.
